Learn Boxing:

Anyone can learn how to box. The Boxing Zone will teach you the fundamentals of boxing. Whether you are a seasoned pro, or a motivated beginner, we have a program for you. Even if you do not want to box in a ring, you can use our programs to get the body you have always wanted.

The following ten steps will help you succeed in your program:

1.) Make sure you eat right, rest normally, and drink lots of water. A good boxing program takes 110% of your abilities, so make sure your body is up to the challenge at all times!

2.) Stretch. Your body is going to be sore. Make sure you stretch those muscles everyday to promote flexibility and strength.

3.) It takes time. Boxing requires coordination, stamina, flexibility, and willpower. If you are not used to boxing , it will take some time for your body to adjust. The Boxing Zone is commited to getting you there!

4.) Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee... Boxing is very fluid. Do not make your body stiff, or you will go down quick!

5.) It's mental. You can be a great boxer if you want to be. Keep motivated and focused. Boxing is timing more than strength, so exercise your mind as well.

6.) Learn rhythm. Bounce a tennis ball or jump rope...these activities will help improve your rhythm. Rhythm will help you suceed in the ring.

7.) Be consistant. Make sure you keep a consistant schedule...and stick to it. Don't skip training days, unless you absolutely have to.

8.) Drink more water. We are saying this twice, because it's that important. If you are not hydrated, you will not build muscle or stamina, and you may pass out.

9.) Breathe. Breathing is key. Try to exhale short quick breaths everytime you punch or dodge.

10.) Practice, practice, practice, PRACTICE. You can be great, but it's going to take practice and motivation. Luckily, The Boxing Zone is open 6 days a week to help you out!
